About Me

NSW, Australia
My family is everything to me - husband and three grown children. Eldest son just married in April 2013. My daughter is also now engaged. I have two Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Rusty is my old fellow and we also now have Brea who is a Devil. I love craft. I am into patchwork, painting and just discovered ATC's and tags and now Zentangles. But with no sight in my left eye and limited sight in the other sometimes it can get tiring. I spend way too much time on the computer. But couldn't do without my internet friends.

Christmas Decorating

We have been oh so Christmassy today. Paul and I went to Luddenham to get a Christmas tree. Got there and found out we had to go and pick and cut our own VBG. So after wandering up and down a big paddock. Hmm this one is the right size but it is too thin, this one is lovely and thick but way too short, we eventually chose one and Paul did the manly thing and cut it down. It was a great price only $50. The trip home was lovely as the car smelt of pine tree.
When we got home it was a perfect fit.
It is just lovely now as we have covered it in lights, mauve tinsel and some of my favourite decorations. The boys put all the lights up outside while Ash and I did all the inside decorating.
The house both inside and out looks just lovely.

I cooked a yummy roast lamb for everyone for dinner.
Tonight was Carols in the Park, across the road. They even had some stalls. I bought some pretty cinnamon sticks and cinnamon spray. I also bought some elderberry cordial. Never had it before but I have heard it is very refreshing. Chris bought some marmalade and onion jam!
After dinner David and Ash went back and bought ice creams or fairy floss for everyone for desert.
We all sat rugged up in blankets as it was very windy and quite cold tonight and watched the fireworks from the front yard.

I am totally exhausted and have very sore feet. So straight to bed.
