Thursday 3rd & Friday 4th

We (Paul David and I) started out early this morning to go and visit our new puppy at the breeder.

Her property is at Badgerys Creek up a pretty rough road.
She met us at the gate as she owns two sMaremma Sheepdogs that guard the Cavies. The one near the gate has to be kept in check when you enter the property otherwise it will bite.

We then drove up to where she keeps the dogs. Wow! Dogs everywhere and not just Cavaliers she also breeds a particular shade of miniature poodle, sort of light tan. Plus she had boarding dogs.

There must of been 20 dogs/puppies running around in the locked up yard. We went in and where immediately jumped on and liked by all and sundry. We then took some of them down to the dam for a swim as it was quite a warm day. After a while she just called them and they all followed us back up the hill.

We then went and looked at our new little girl.. As yet not sure which one we are getting as there is another lady that has first choice ahead of us.
They are both just sooo cute.

Which one will be ours?

We weren't able to cuddle them as they still have to have there first shots and as we already own a dog it is not wise as they may inadvertently catch something. She also had another litter of pups in the shed with them.  They are about two weeks older.

We then went and sat out in another yard with the father - Thomas, who is just the sweetest gentlest chap - and some of the other dogs and puppies and chatted, just asking questions etc.

After about an hour we took our leave and headed back home.

Paul and I had to go to a friends fathers funeral in the afternoon.
It was a huge funeral. The church was packed and as we met Paul's sister there with her hubby, we ended up going upstairs as there was only standing room below.

We saw some old baseball friends there afterwards and talked with them for a while before heading home.

Today Paul, Ash and I went to IKEA to look at sofa beds. Yah! We found one we all liked. So convinced Paul to buy it and not look anymore. The only problem in the end was that we had 4 big boxes but we could only get 3 to fit in one go.
So Paul took them home and Ash and I stayed. We where able to leave the big box in the pickup area while we went and had something to eat for lunch upstairs.

When Paul got back we packed up the car and drove over to Joanne's new house. Karen and all her family where also there.
We sat out the back and had a drink and chat.
Karen gave Ash one of grandmas rings. It is a lovely gold one with an amethyst which she thinks grandad gave her on one of their anniversaries.

After having a quick look around inside we then took off home.
Paul went to his usual Friday night drinks at The Crown.
Ash couldn't wait for tomorrow so she got Clayton and the boys help put the sofa together.

 We had pizza for dinner :-))).
